In brief

  • Treatment is done under local anaesthesia.
  • Composite fillings are matched to the colour of the tooth.
  • The price depends on the group of teeth and the extent of damage.

A cavity starts as a spot on the enamel, then destroys dentine and may reach the pulp — then pain appears and treatment becomes more complex. So plan a visit to the dentist not only when it hurts but also for a check-up.

At Dentika cavities are treated with modern anaesthesia and composite materials. The price list shows restoration of a front tooth, premolar or molar and rebuilding of contact points between teeth as separate items — they affect the cost and duration.

When to come in

  • A spot or a “hole” has appeared on a tooth
  • A tooth reacts to cold, sweet or hot
  • Food gets stuck between teeth
  • A piece of tooth has chipped off or an old filling has fallen out
  • More than a year has passed since the last check-up

How it works at Dentika

  1. Examination and X-ray. The doctor examines the teeth and, if needed, takes a targeted X-ray to see decay between teeth and the condition of the root.
  2. Anaesthesia. First a gel, then an injection if needed. Treatment starts once the anaesthesia has taken effect.
  3. Removing the affected tissue. The doctor removes the damaged tissue, preserving as much healthy tissue as possible.
  4. Preparing the cavity. The tooth is isolated from saliva (rubber dam or a retractor) and the surface is prepared for the material.
  5. Filling. Composite is placed in layers and cured with a lamp; the tooth colour is matched.
  6. Adjustment and polishing. The bite is checked and the filling is shaped and polished so it is smooth.

What affects the cost

  • Group of teeth: front teeth, premolars or molars
  • Extent of damage — whether contact points need rebuilding
  • Additional stages: medicinal liner, isolating the tooth
  • Depth of decay: if the pulp is affected, root canal treatment is needed

Aftercare

  • Do not eat until the anaesthesia wears off so that you do not bite your cheek or tongue
  • If your bite feels high after a filling, call us — it can be adjusted
  • Brush twice a day and use interdental brushes or floss
  • Come for a check-up every 6–12 months or as the doctor recommends

Questions and answers

How much does a filling cost at Dentika?

In the 2026–2027 price list the lowest price for a filling (restoration of a premolar or molar without rebuilding contact points) is 950 ₴. For front teeth and more complex cases the cost is higher. The doctor names the final amount after examination.

Is treating a cavity painful?

Treatment is done under local anaesthesia. If you are anxious, tell the doctor — they will explain what will happen and stop in time if you are uncomfortable.

How long does a filling last?

It depends on the size of the filling, your bite and hygiene. That is why regular check-ups matter — the doctor will notice a problem early.

Why might a filling cost more?

If the tooth is badly damaged, additional stages are needed: rebuilding contacts, isolating the tooth, a medicinal liner. All of this appears in the price list as separate items.
